The inability to keep a home at a livable temperature can lead to serious illness or injury.
Safe and secure shelter is a human need for all people. Families with low or fixed household incomes often have difficulty juggling energy bills with other necessities. When this is the case, MAAC’s Energy Assistance Program offers emergency energy payments and related resources.
MAAC’s Energy Assistance Program is integrated with supportive services to assist families with their needs beyond utility payments. This may include energy-related maintenance, repair or replacement in their homes.
Households may also benefit from San Diego Gas & Electric’s CARE Program for a discount on monthly bills, visit SDG&E’s website for more information.
