Arnulfo Manriquez to Step Down as President & CEO Following Sabbatical

Chula Vista, CA — January 21, 2026 — After more than two decades of service, Arnulfo Manriquez will step down as MAAC’s CEO effective January 25, 2026, following a sabbatical that provided time for reflection and planning his next chapter.

“This decision comes at a natural point both personally and professionally,” explained Manriquez. “With my children now grown and pursuing their own paths, and after more than twenty-one years of connection to this mission,” he expressed that “it is time to begin a new chapter and explore the next evolution of my leadership journey.”

Gustavo Perez, Chair of the Board, stated: “We appreciate Arnulfo’s years of service and the role he has played in guiding the organization through important phases of its development. The Board will now undertake an extensive search to identify the next CEO who will build on this foundation.”

In the meantime, Adolfo Ventura will continue in his role as Interim President & CEO. The Board is confident in his leadership with support from the entire MAAC staff while the CEO search is in process.
