As Chief HR Officer for MAAC, Arlene serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and oversees planning, organizing and implementing strategic, comprehensive and effective agency-wide compliance and human resources programs.
Prior to joining MAAC, Arlene served as the Director of the Center for Human Resources at SDSU. She also served for many years for the City of San Jose as the Deputy Director of Human Resources, and with the City of Tustin in a similar role.
Arlene earned her Masters in Public Administration at CSU Northridge and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Labor Relations from CSU Long Beach. She holds numerous credentials including the Senior Professional in Human Resources — the highest designation by the International Public Management Association for Human Resources. .
